Google Lunar X-Prize

The Google Lunar X PRIZE is a $30 million competition for the first privately funded team to send a robot to the moon, travel
500 meters and transmit video, images and data back to the Earth.

Northrop Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge

The Northrop Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge is a two-level, two million dollar competition requiring a vehicle to simulate trips between the moon’s surface and lunar orbit. The Challenge was hosted by the X PRIZE Foundation and sponsored by NASA, with additional financial support from Northrop Grumman.

X-Prize Foundation

On October 4, 2004, the X PRIZE Foundation captured the world's attention when we awarded the largest prize in history, the $10 million Ansari X PRIZE, to Scaled Composites for their craft SpaceShipOne.

To win the prize, famed aerospace designer Burt Rutan and financier Paul Allen led the first private team to build and launch a spacecraft capable of carrying three people to 100 kilometers above the earth's surface, twice within two weeks.

Florida Association of Spacemodeling Hobbyists
FLASH conducts monthly low and high power launches near LaBelle, Florida. FLASH is dual affiliated, NAR and Tripoli.

NEFAR holds low, mid, and high power launches at the Clegg Sod Farm in Bunnell, Fla. NEFAR holds dual affiliation, as NAR Section 563 and Tripoli Prefect 35.

Rocketry of Orlando's Community Kids (ROCK)

 ROCK is an Orlando-based club which encourages children and young adults to embrace the exciting, fun, safe, and educational hobby of sport rocketry.

ROCK sponsors rocket launches on the first Saturday of each month at the Barr Street entrance of the Little-Big-Econ State Forest. Launches start at 9:30 am and continue until about 3:00 pm.

Triploi Tampa Rocketry Association

TTRA is the Tampa Bay prefecture (#17) of the the Tripoli Rocketry Association.  Their mission is to provide a safe and exciting environment for the pursuit of High Power Rocketry. They hold monthly low, mid, and high power launches at the Varn Ranch near Plant City Fla.

Roadrunner Rocketry-Single Use Composite 29mm Motors

An excellant source of 29mm single use, composite motors in the "E" and "F" range. These motors have a built in thrust ring, and are a little longer than the Aerotech motors. Each motor comes with a 2-conductor igniter, and they perform flawlessly. Roadrunner also produces "G" motors, but currently only sells them to registered TARC Teams.
