1/3rd scale AIM-120B Advanced Medium Range Air-toAir Missile. This one took me nearly 6 months to complete.

Wings, fins, hangers, and tunnel cable cover are basswood, with the leading and trailing edges tapered down. The nose was obtained from Apogee Components, they were the only vendor with the correctly tapered ogive nose in a BT-80 size. Motor mount came from BRS Hobbies.

Once again, markings were made on Harvard Graphics, and printed on clear mailing labels. Then 2 coats of clear semi-gloss.

This one uses 4 24mm motors, I have used both D-12 and E-9 motors. And let me tell you, 4 E-9's take this rocket quite a way.

After a couple dozen launches, the cardboard motor tubes have finally given out. This one is retired.

12-19-08. Just finished the new one. Basically the same, except I used plywood for the wings/fins, and built it with a single 29mm motor mount.
Printed new decals, same paint scheme. Will post pics soon.
